Part romantic comedy, part musical, part stand up act, Love in Boxes is a
sweet, strange, and funny tale about how a young artist comes to terms
with his failures in love, his fear of rejection, and a strange courtship ritual
that involves giving women unusual cardboard boxes that he creates
especially for them.

A one-man-show written by and starring award winning performer/
playwright
Slash Coleman. The predecessor to his PBS special, The
Neon Man and Me, this multimedia play toured theaters in 2004 and
showcased Slash's knack for physical comedy and incorporated video,
singing, dancing, hip-hop, and a cast of  10 truly eccentric characters. It
will return to the stage in 2008.

The unique and fun set is a
lot like Willy Wonka's
Chocolate Factory.
The Music Video - Cupid in a Box
Visit Slash's myspace site and watch Rabbit-boy,
the star of Love in Boxes, get a little too frisky with
Frida Kahlo. Who knew that the hood of a '56 pink
Cadillac could play host to such a feral act?
